Instalaci deseti vozů značky Trabant na svahu Petřína, z nichž na návštěvníky promlouvali pamětníci exodu občanů NDR přes Prahu v roce 1989, jsme vytvořili společně se společností Signal Productions v rámci letošního říjnového festivalu Signal. Tři uprchlíci z NDR (disident, hudebník a dítě) a dva českoslovenští občané (popelář a mluvčí vlády) se podělili o své vzpomínky na léto a podzim roku 1989. Události spjaté s pobytem celkově patnácti tisíc občanů NDR v areálu západoněmeckého velvyslanectví v pražském Lobkovickém paláci dokreslovaly archivní záběry. Všichni natočení pamětníci jsou natrvalo součástí volně přístupné sbírky Paměť národa.

Together with the company Signal Production and as a part of the October Signal Festival, we have created an installation of ten Trabi cars on the slopes of the Petřín hill. The visitors could listen to testimonies of witnesses of the exodus of GDR citizens through Prague in 1989. Three refugees (dissident, musician and a child) and two Czechoslovak citizens (ashman and government speaker) shared their memories from summer and autumn 1989. The events connected with the stay of over fifteen thousand GDR citizens in and around the area of the Western German Embassy in the Lobkovic Palace in Prague were also documented through screening of archive materials. All the interviews taken were included in the publicly accessible archive Memory of Nations.
